Sea You Beach Bar Update
You will no doubt recall that Sea You Beach Bar on Potima Bay, Kissonerga is no more. The future of its site remains a mystery to us, but we were passing the other day so thought we would see what has happened over the last couple of weeks...
Choppy Seas

Potima Bay lies on the Coast Road from Paphos to Coral Bay. It is just after the coastal part of Kissonerga. At some point in the future, there are plans to build a Marina here somewhere. For now though, it consists of a beach, a lot of open area and until recently, the Sea You Beach Bar.
We went on our little tour last Saturday. The wind was very gusty, but I managed to fly the drone for a short while. Later that day we would get rain, with a lot more on Sunday. There was even some snow in the Troodos. We need a lot more wet weather though.
View From The Sea

The bar has now pretty much been completely destroyed. I am guessing the white structures you can still see are where you will find the essentials like water and electricity supply.

There are numerous theories as to what is going to happen to the site, though two seem to crop up most frequently.
According to idle internet chatter, it will either become another tavern, or it will be a new desalination plant.
Tree View

Personally, I think it will be a new tavern. I can't see why they would bother preserving all these trees if they were just going to plonk a desalination plant here.
Land View

Now there are definitely plans to build a desalination plant on Potima Bay, but it is a large area. There is nearly 2km between here and the wedding venue by Coral Bay Linear Park, so there is plenty of space to build the plant there.
