Riccos Beach Area
The other day I went out to photograph some of the beaches around Paphos. We have a beaches directory and I figured it needed some more up-to-date images. However, it soon became apparent that the beaches are still getting prepared for the Summer Season. So while the pictures I took won't be suitable for the directory, I thought you might like to see what's occurring. In this article, we take a look at Riccos Beach Area, in Geroskipou.
Geroskipou Beaches

The area often referred to as Riccos Beach actually consists of two Blue Flag Beaches: Geroskipu Municipal, and Laiki Paralia. In this shot we stand to the East of the beaches, looking West. The beaches themselves have changed quite a bit since I took the photos you see in the directory, so they definitely need updating.
New Taverns

For a start the facilities have all been greatly improved.
Too Early

However, they are still taking the fixtures out of their winter storage.
Gravel Gathering

Moving down the beach, we find some mysterious piles of pebbles.
No Drones

Oh and while I am here, this picture demonstrates why you will never see us publish any drone footage of the area. Its proximity to Paphos Airport makes drone flying strictly off-limits. Even if I wanted to fly it here, my drone would refuse.
