Cyprus In Pictures - March, 2025
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how March has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Naked Corallia Beach

We shall start March's pictural history with a view of Corallia Beach. Don't worry if you are visiting soon, the sunbeds are now out. Well, at least some of them.

Paphos Sea Front itself looks lovely.
Alykes Beach

Here's a shot of of possibly the smallest Blue Flag beach in Paphos. Alykes Beach is actually a good place to swim if you fancy seeing a turtle. Well, we've been there twice and both times were lucky to have them pass us by.

There is still a sea wall along part of Paphos Sea Front. It runs from the harbour to the kiosk. The rest of the Sea Front adopts more of an infinity pool look. It looks great in the summer but can cause issues during winter storms as it leaves the front exposed to the elements.
Yeronisos Island

If you are here on holiday and exploring Paphos in a rented car, first of all, congratulations. As Punch would say, that's the way to do it. I could at this point give a plug to our Road Trip eBooks available on Amazon, but that would be tasteless. Instead, I will say you need to familiarise yourself with a few landmarks, so that you can get your bearings if you are lost. One such landmark is Yeronisos Island. If you can see that, you know where the end of the Akamas is, at least on the Southern coast.
Other landmarks include the Paphos Tower and the wind farm.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
